Christmas

This girl is getting so excited for Christmas, I am finding a new joy for the holiday with having her around. She was so into decorating this year and had a say on where everything was placed. She absolutely loved putting up the tree and hung each ornament very carefully. She reiterated the rules to her brother.. "This is our chwistmas twee Wyatt, we don't take the ornaments off okay?"

She has been obsessed with her nativity... All nativities really. I told her the story of the night which Jesus was born and it stuck. She asks me to tell her again and again, over and over. Then she tells it to me, and to daddy, and it makes me so happy to hear it click. To hear her actually understand why we celebrate this special day.
We have been watching a fair share of Christmas movies, including frosty, Santa Claus, Rudolph and the grinch- which is currently her first choice. There is one line in the grinch that we emphasized every that we read the story and now when that scene comes up in the movie she makes a point to remind us-"this is the most important part mommy"...

"It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store? What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more?"

"Wook mommy, I did it by myself!"

I walked into my living room the other morning and this is what I saw... Claire putting together a puzzle. I did not help with one piece. This is one of her new favorite things to do these days, puzzles. Almost all of the puzzles we have now she can do by herself.
I have not had a lot of time to post to her or Wyatt's blog lately with all of us being sick, working and preparing for Christmas. On top of everything else we have going on as well... In fact I am only uploading photos to blogger through my phone anymore. Who has time to get onto the computer anymore?!

But I am an advocate instagramer. It is so easy and quick that I am usually uploading 3-4 photos a day onto it with a little tid bit on what is going on at our house. So if you have Instagram and want to follow me, my username is jennybusbey. I am loving following people through their photos!

Cousins

If we don't see these kids for a week it's all I hear about... "I see wucy June and zaney! I see weeum and wiwwie!" She loves them dearly and really looks up to them. I am loving watching their bonds grow and their relationships form. I can't wait till the next baby is added to the mix! :) and I REALLY can't wait till vacation next year... And we are brainstorming Disney world...!!!

Happy Halloween!

This year we are super excited about Halloween... We are going trick or treating for the first time! Happy Halloween from the farm.

Just like momma

Boy does she make me proud... Sometimes I hear things that I say from her and I cringe... Other times I catch brief moments like these and I melt. Like mother like daughter.

Big girl bed

Claire Jane is officially a big girl! It's bitter sweet... But came at the best time for me. No more diapers, she is using the potty like a champ. And we just moved her from her crib to a big girl bed, mainly because aunt Jessie wanted to use our crib for baby cooper. I had all intentions of keeping her in it as long as I could... But I couldn't be happier with how she is adjusting. It is like a new toy, she loves reading books in it and hiding under the covers. Where did my baby girl go?! Time is going way too fast now. I'm lucky to have this baby brother go needs me or I would be a wreck with all these changes.

The great Frederick fair

I can't even describe the joy I saw in my daughters and nieces and nephews eyes when we went to the fair... It was priceless. We went 3 times! Best money we have ever spent so far. This hillbilly place is tradition!

Cookie day!

Claire had a special cookie day with my best friend Chelsea. She brought the famous pumpkin cookie recipe that we have been making out entire life! It was fun to see Claire decorate the cookies... And eat all of the candy... And cookie dough... I'm sure if I ask her who she wants to have come and babysit she will tell me Chelsea from
Now on!

Lil momma

I bet you can't guess what I was doing?! "I feed my baby, she's so hungwee." she makes me so proud! :)

New tactic

Claire Jane has the bladder of a horse. No seriously, she can hold her pee for up to 5 hours! I started a new tactic a few days ago of giving her juice boxes. We usually don't give her juice but for this occasion I needed something that would make her pee more so she could learn where to put it! It worked. 4 days and 3 accidents later, she is doing GREAT!! We usually are pantless while at home... Which is working better than I would have ever imagined. Thank goodness we have wood floors! Next up: big girl bed.

enchanted fairy birthday

We celebrated Claire's birthday fairy style!
Here are some snap shots of the amazing day.

Uncle Jamie painted faces... I was amazed at how still the kids sat

Our plan was to have the party outside with water activities but with the threat of rain we had to come up with something quick to do indoors...
Pin the wings on the fairy!

Aunt Jessie's fairy get up. Adorable.

And Pa brought luminaries from vacation and Claire's favorite movie of the moment...Tangled!

We were hoping the kids could catch fireflies that evening... but it was still too light out.

Claire got a TON of awesome gifts, including amazing art supplies, a new stool for her bathroom, coloring books, a computer, dress up, hair accessories, and my favorite gift....My cradle from when I was her age, redone, along with my Madame Alexander doll "Baby Vickie."

Thanks to everyone who helped make this special day happen and came out to celebrate this fairy's birthday!
