We had a play date with Aunt Jessie, Liam and Lillie today.
We took the kids to the park, which was Claire's first time.
We had snacks and water, swung on swings, and rode down slides.

Somebeanie's walking!

Claire has been standing for long periods of time for a while now.
She will go from sitting to standing without the help of anyone or anything.
Just 4 days ago she took her first steps.
I refrained from pushing her over to stop this milestone.
I am excited, yet sad about all of this.
She is 24-ish pounds now... it will be a relief to not have to carry her EVERYWHERE...
It will be sad to see my little baby turn into a toddler.

Singing Songs

all by myself

After being nursed, rocked and sung to sleep her entire life, Claire has finally learned to fall asleep
all by herself! This is such an accomplishment in the Busbey house.
It took some time(weeks), but she will now go to sleep in her crib all by herself.
Will I nurse and rock my next child to sleep you ask? And have to break THEM of it too?!
You better believe it :o)

Sink Bath

I have never loved a sink so much, and will never go for a smaller sink again.

A Bumble Bee birthday

We celebrated Claire's birthday with a bumble bee party.
We made a wall just for her with photos from birth to one.
Daddy wanted to take it down after the party, along with all of the other decorations, but I think we will
keep it up for a while. It is nice to look at photos of our little baby as we pass through the kitchen.

And that was the only moment she wore her headband. She loves headbands and bows, placing them
on her head when she finds them, but as soon as she does she takes them off.
We will be working on this...

Claire's first gift for her party was form Aunt Jessie and Uncle Shu.

An awesome princess tent, we can hardly keep her out of it.

She sat for a while just looking at it and pawing the icing off, until Pa couldn't
